Questions for the Borough Council & Council Supporters 7-13-08
As per the Council Meeting minutes of March 26, 2008 and the article in the Reading Eagle the Borough Council approved a $1.3 million loan for Hometown Utilicom with conditions. The conditions are that $300,000 can be spent as soon as it is available and $1,000,000 can not be spent until a “Business Plan” has been drafted. It is now 108 days (3 1\2 months) since that meeting and there has been no financial report on the $300,000 or any status report on the “Business Plan” made available to the taxpayers.
The Reading Eagle also states “HU realized an operating profit of $80,000 which was calculated after Borough Manager\Treasurer Vettraino moved more than $500,000 into HU from Borough Departments and Funds.
Mr. Frank Caruso who heads HU states the venture made a day to day profit 2 years ahead of schedule, he also states “but turning HU into a million-dollar profit center was not”. Frank Caruso and Former Manager Keith Hill provided many projections and predictions about HU and replacing the Electric Dept. as the big money maker was one of them. Mr. Caruso should be made to back up his statements with Borough documents.
Why not ask Mr. Caruso, Mr. Hill and Mr. Vettraino to produce all the great visions and writings they produced about HU. If they can not produce them I can.
BUT WHERE IS THE BUSINESS PLAN AND THE $1 MILLION LOAN?
For all the buffoons who personally criticize me on my website and want answers from me please ask the elected officials who are obligated to answer you because you elected them. The buffoons should also attend Council Meetings to gather information to pass on to the public and I as you did when I was Mayor (2002-2005) remember? I do.

OK than,for starters, just show us the proof that you actually did graduate from engineering school.
And while you are at it, show proof of honorable discharge from the air force.
Also, print your proof, as you state in your latest and greatest rhetoric. Again, if you can prove anything you say, you would.
Whether it is HU, Electric, Water/Sewer or Refuse, all play an integral part of this Borough's history.
You are not part of the Borough History, at least not in a positive sense.
Produce or shut the Hell up!
All you need is a single shred of substaniated fact and you would have more followers than detractors.
As asked, produce the proof of who you were, where you really come from, and the history you have. For those of you intersted, there is a site with all this information available, all you need to do is shell out a few dollars and you will be amazed at the information about this guys history.
I also thought for awhile he was on to something until I did my own investigation.
Suckers are born every minute. Individuals like this take advantage of those too lazy to find out the real story for themselves.
You are all wrong. You assumed (make an ass out of u and me) that PE at the end of Gennaro Marino PE indicates something accomplished, a professional title. For eight years he has fooled everyone with his subliminal PE.
It really has a meaning different from what you think.
PE in his title refers to "Public Enemy".
I took it upon myself and called the Borough and spoke to the Finance Director Russ. I asked how I could get a copy of the Budget, he told me to come in and ask at the front counter, he said I could review it there and if I wanted a printed copy or copies of certain pages I could request them, I would have to pay a copy charge for each page. I asked if the 2007 Audit is available and he said the Auditors are finalizing it and it should be available at the end of July.
Russ also told me that I could go to the Boroughs website and view or download the 2004, 2005, 2006 Audited Financial Reports and the 2008 Budget detail report which is also available.

I don't know about you but something here sure does not make sense. The Marino Report has claimed over and over again that "The Borough is hiding information", "They won't give me a copy of the Budget".
All I did was call and I was told what to do. There is one claim that may be correct, The Borough will not give you a copy. You must pay for it if you want to take it with you. If you download it yourself then it is free.
The Marino Report also claims the Borough does not have an Auditor, well the Finance Director told me the Auditor is finalizing the 2007 Audit. So the Borough in fact has an Auditor. Another false claim by The Marino Report.
At this time, everyone should be asking themselves what is the real purpose of Mr. Marino and his constant badgering and dissemination of false information and claims?
I took the time to check out these claims by The Marino Report and I am disgusted in the negativity and constant bad mouthing of our town and elected community leaders. The Marino Report is making this community look like a bunch of country hicks and to quote a former councilman “a most un-agreeable community”.
I no longer will patronize this blog and waste my time.
Well Jerry, you have had plenty of time to answer your "detractors", as you like to call them. Maybe it`s taking you just a little longer to think up another believable lie this time. And as far as you boasting about having erected a tombstone in the borough, may i suggest you try it on for size. Frank C.
