The following are figures and dates from my checkbook:
Electric Bill 10-12-01 $39.42 minus $15 trash total electric $24.42
2-13-09 $74.21 minus $15 trash total electric $59.21
Difference $34.79 per month
increase per year $417.48
Water and Sewer Bill 10-18-01 $83.72
10-15-08 $167.88 includes rental
Difference $84.16 per quarter
increase per year $336.64
Real Estate Tax 3-4-02 $636.99
3-5-09 $976.19
Difference $339.20 per year increase per year $339.20
Increase in Electric, Water, Sewer and R.E. Tax since HU inception $1,123.32 per year
While I had my checkbook out I also looked into our local School Tax with the following results.
School Tax 7-9-02 $1989.29 plus $14.70 total $2003.99
7-15-08 $2530.19 plus $14.70 total $2544.89
Difference $540.90 increase per year $540.90
An increase of 27%
This report confirms my statements that you and your predecessors have raised all of the Borough’s rates to finance Hometown Utilicom that loses about $1 million a year.
The Electric has gone up 146 %.
Water and Sewer has gone up 100%.
The Real Estate Tax has gone up 53%.
I think one of you should explain how this happened and if this money found its way into Hometown Utilicom. Please respond. Thank you.

I didn't know Kutztown Borough set the school tax? When did that happen and how much does the Borough get?
Hmmmm price comparisons for seven years, yep that makes alot of sense.

Mr Marino, why are you advocating increase in Property Taxes for Borough Residents?
In 1969 the price of gas was lower than 1979, 1989, 1999.
In 1991 the cost of living was lower than 2001.
In 1950 the price for a gallon of milk was lower than 1975.
I believe its called inflation and the entire Nation is experiencing this problem.
Mr Marino does the Borough generate its electricity for resale? If not, does that mean they purchase the electricity for resale?
Mr Marino does the Borough process its water for resale? If not, does that mean they purchase processed water for resale?
Mr Marino you should know the answers to these questions. If you did you would know the MARGIN between purchase, processing and resale.
Prior to Hometown, do you know what the cost of television and internet was within the Borough?
Do you know what services were available to the Borough Residents prior to Hometown?
You really should do some homework before creating a stir.
Why are you proposing increasing property tax? Obviously you are saying the Borough should not sell electric, water, sewer, television or internet so what kind of property tax would you like to place upon the Kutztown Residents? You still have to pay for services such as Police, Code, Highway, Recreation.
The property tax alone to the Kutztown Borouh Residents would be higher than Berks or Lehigh County. THAT's a FACT!! Do you know how much a resident in other communities pay for property tax? You do but you have no intentions of printing it.
I notice you ducked the "PPL kindness to charge interest and finance their electric rate increase", how come you cowar away from this?
Paying your electric water/sewer and television bill to the Borough eliminates the need for this HUMOUNGUS PROPERTY TAX. There is NO Industry to pick up the TAB!

No, but he is "talking", and talking "sense" too! Why doesn't the boro clean dirty streets other that Main St. once a week. At least they could clean the streets the students live on every other week to clean up the trash (fast food bags) and bottles they leave behind.

To JR jr. You are correct. Jerry never graduated from college, and i have the proof to show that it is true. I also heard that he got a dishonorable discharge from the Air Force. I don`t know if that is also true, but i would not discount the very real possibility. I honestly believe that his entire life`s history is based on lies.

This is comical. For more than a year we the people have pestered this boob to "print the facts". His latest posting does exactly as we asked, print the facts. The facts are, inflation has increased over seven years and yes his check book more than likely shows more for electric in 2000 than 2009. Not sure what he is trying to prove with this but there must be some method to his madness.

Mr Marino why are you so confused? these are not the facts we have asked you to prove We asked you to produce FACTS to support your claims about the budget and the fraud you claim performed by Borough employees.

Ok, Ok, Ok, so here is the situation, you really do need to feel sorry for this guy. Why would someone with any sense of sanity print on the web to thousands of potential readers, that he stores in his garage a 1990 red corvette and a 1985 Buick Regal?

Not sure if the local Police or his insurance agents are reading this but I will be sure to provide them his blog with his statements should his property mysteriously disappear.
