ELECTRICITY RATE COMPARISONS

The Morning Call of December 16, ’09 (page news 20) has a very informative article comparing electricity by Spencer Soper.

Company Rates per KW House cost per year
PPL est. 10.82 cents est. $1,298.40
Dominion 9.49 1,123.80
Direct Energy 9.49 1,123.80
Liberty Power 9.45 1,134.00
ConEdison Solutions 9.38 1,125.60

The article also states the average household uses about 1,000 KWH per month.
My latest electric bill was $55.11 for 303 KWH which is a electricity rate 18 cents per KWH. The cost for a household in Kutztown, where we can not shop for electricity, would be $1,000 times 12 months times 18 cents per KWH is $2,160.

I have stated many times that Borough electricity rate is double the rate of surrounding area.
Average annual cost of electricity for a household in Kutztown is $2,160.00
Average annual cost of electricity in the area around Kutztown is $1,298.40
The difference is $861.60

THIS CONFIRMS MY CLAIM THAT BOROUGH ELECTED OFFICIALS AND MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES ARE OVER CHARGING BOROUGH ELECTRICITY CUSTOMERS TO PAY FOR THEIR PET BUSINESS VENTURE HOMETOWN UTILICOM WHICH LOSES ABOUT $1 MILLION A YEAR.

These figures are all taken from the article in the Morning Call.
Thanks for watching. Sincerely, Jerry

A recent Reading Eagle article stated the Budget of Fleetwood was increased by $6,000 to $1.6 million and with 4,000 residents that comes $400 per capita. Reading's per capita spending is $750 while Kutztown's spending is $4,200 per capita which is more than 10 times the Fleetwood Budget and almost 6 times as much as the budget of Reading. Again I repeat this is due to the wild spending by the Borough Council, the Mayor and Hometown Utilicom losing $1 million a year. These statistics are all public records and available to everyone. Sincerely Jerry

Jerry,
Where are all your negative responders at? They must be all on vacation. Keep up the good work and Happy Holidays to you!

If there were any reason to respond, people would. Common sense people, Marino's comparison is apples to oranges.

Ask Allentown, Reading, and some of the places Marino quotes, how much of the electric is paying for in town services? Also why doesn't Marino compare the Property tax rate of kutztown to other communities?

You idiots thinking property tax is better than purchasing services and working capital are pure IDIOTS!

As far as elected officials being ousted, heard that before, seems this past election says it all! Town talk, cross the street, leave the store, turn your back when you see Marino and his tea-party of two coming.

A message to those pro and con. Give it up already. Those of you banging on Marino so he continues to write and distibute his letters and those of you encouraging him to continue.

Marino is the child that was always challenged to do something, and win approval by is peers, he was the child "dared" to throw rocks through windows, steal, lie, act cool. All the while those irritated bang on him and those wanting him to act like the fool encouraging him to continue. There is Marino, following orders from everyone around him, good and bad.

Those of you encouraging him are worse than those challenging him and making fun of him. He is foolish enouvgh to believe you are supporting him and when he turns his back you laugh and call him a fool or an idiot.

The poor guy more than likely had a pathetic upbringing and challenging life, and you fools encourage him even more with your fake support and antagonistic efforts to make him continue.

No doubt you are both winning but the guy may take extreme measures to hurt himself or someone else, all in the name of "being notificed".

Think about it, reconsider your actions, be a true christian.
